Soprano Marissa Famiglietti is a graduate of the Bachelor of Music and Master of Music
Classical Vocal Performance program at the Manhattan School of Music, where she was
featured as both Cathleen in
Riders to the Sea and Susan in A Dinner Engagement in the
school’s British Opera Double Bill, Donna Elvira in the Vaughn/Muraco production of
Don Giovanni, Lisbe in Spohr’s Zemire und Azor (recorded for Albany Records) and
Mathilde in scenes from
Guillaume Tell. With The American Singers’ Opera Project, Ms.
Famiglietti sang the role of Lauretta in
Gianni Schicchi and Marzelline in scenes from
Fidelio with the NY Festival Orchestra and the Collegiate Chorale. With the Operafestival
di Roma, Ms. Famiglietti appeared as Zerlina in
Don Giovanni with the International
Symphonic Orchestra in Rome and Verona. As a full scholarship recipient to Centro Studi
Lirica in Novafeltria, Italy, Ms. Famiglietti sang scenes as La Contessa (
Le Nozze di
Figaro
), Violetta (La Traviata), and Suzel (L’Amico Fritz). Ms. Famiglietti performed as a
Spectrum Resident Artist with the Virginia Opera during their 2007 season, where she was
featured as Kate in the Young Artist Production of
Pirates of Penzance in addition to
performing in over 100 educational outreach performances. Ms. Famiglietti studies voice
with Metropolitan Opera baritone Mark Oswald.
